Aishwarya Rai and Rajinikanth star in the upcoming movie Endhiran (Robot). Endhiran is one of the most awaited movies of this year, and with its budget having crossed 150 crores, is now the costliest movie produced in India.
Here are some latest pictures of Aishwarya Rai and superstar Rajnikanth on location of the underproduction movie 'Enthiran' or 'Robot'.
Aishwarya Rai is also filming for Mani Ratnam's movie 'Raavan' after which she will start filming for Vipul Shah's new film 'Action Replay' with Akshay Kumar.

Director Shankar plans to shoot a song with Rajnikanth and the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai, his co-star in the movie Robot (Enthiran).
Rajnikanth's Robot has been in the news ever since the film was announced. The budget of the film is reportedly above a mind boggling sum of Rs. 100 crores.
The initial schedule was in Peru, where an important lavish song sequence with Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai was filmed.

Robot has been in the headlines ever since it was announced that it would have a budget of Rs. 100 crores. In Robot, Rajnikanth plays the role of a scientist and also a robot.
Music has been scored by maestro A. R. Rehman and the producers of the movie are Ayngaran International Films Pvt. Ltd. and Eros International.
The special effects, animatronics and action stunts will be done by leading Hollywood companies who have been associated with blockbusters like Jurassic Park, Terminator, Matrix, Kill Bill, etc.

Robot which is budgeted for Rs 130 crores will be made simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and is said to go on floors in April ’08. The film is expected to be very heavy on FX.
When the film was announced, numerous speculations were doing the rounds as regards Rajini’s heroine. Trisha, Shriya, and Nayanthara were said to be in the fray. Also, there was speculation that the role would go to model turned actress Deepika Padukone who recently bagged the Star Screen award for 'most promising newcomer' and the Stardust 'Superstar of Tomorrow' award for her debut performance in Om Shanti Om. But director Shankar managed to rope in the former Miss World for this prestigious project.
Aishwary Rai has been booked for a mind boggling Rs. 6 crores for this film. She is currently demanding 2 crores in Bollywood and 4 crores in Hollywood. After the Robot deal, Aishwarya Rai becomes the highest paid actress in the entire Indian film industry.
Shankar visited Mumbai in the first week of January to discuss the script with Aishwarya.
"Aishwarya has gone through the script before joining Abhishek who is shooting for Dilli 6 in Rajasthan" says a source. The official contract of the film has been approved by Amitabh Bachchan himself after altering few clauses and signed by Aishwarya.
The film is being produced with the backing of Hollywood giant Sony Pictures who entered the Indian market with Saawariya.
Rajnikanth will play a scientist who creates a robot for his physically challenged child to play with. However, things go awry and the robot begins to kill people forcing Rajnikanth to terminate his state-of-the-art invention.

Rajnikanth has ensured to sustain the exhilaration among his fans by featuring in a film to be produced by Kavithalaya and directed by P Vasu. This film titled Kuselan is based on a Malayalam film 'Katha Parayumbol' which featured Mammooty and Sreenivasan in the lead roles. The Malayalam version dealt deeply the friendship and relationship between a barber and a popular film star.
In Kuselan, Rajnikanth will be playing the role of Mammooty and Pasupathy will take on Sreenivasan's character. Inside sources reveal that the name Kuselan is chosen from Hindu mythology where he happens to be Lord Krishna's childhood friend and the latter comes to his rescue when he is in a very bad state of poverty. Looks like the Super Star's Kuselan also will highlight the significance of true friendship.
